Age
Getting older sucks. Two days ago my Grandma turned 82 years old, but her birthday wasn't the kind she would want to remember, because my grandpa is not doing so well. He has moments where you can tell something really happened, although most of the time he is purely himself.
For example, today I went to visit them, i had the day off, so during lunch i asked him if he wanted to come with me to do some shopping. He stood up and said "I'll get my glasses". I bet he feels like a slave..nobody let's him go anywhere. While walking (he has to walk to me) I asked him if he would like to go to the hairdresser and then he said "well thank you" haha..man i love him.
Anyway, we set an hour for me to pick him up..and later on we did go. He behaved like the gentleman he is, introduced me to everyone and got the most amazing hair cut i've ever seen. He talked like he used to and that was really great to be present in one of his "good" moments.
It's obvious that there's been some improvement..and I hope it continues to follow that way. After what happened depression is something that can be seen, especially after changing everything he loved to do and not being able to do it no more.
I hope our love can make him realize that it's not his time yet, despite what he says. Getting older sucks.
